Last week, Ramsey County unveiled a new mobile web application for its GoRamsey interactive parks and recreation mapping website.
The original desktop site, www.goramsey.org, allows users to search for all parks and recreation facilities located in Ramsey County, as a part of the Active Living Ramsey Communities initiative. These include not only county-operated parks and recreational facilities, but municipal facilities as well.

A recreation-league basketball team made up of Roseville Area High School students recently captured third place at the state tournament by winning five of six games in a 24-hour period.

It has been a year since Kathy Ramundt, a member of the neighborhood and community taskforce for Roseville’s Human Rights Commission first approached the city about getting involved with a new social networking site named Nextdoor.com.

RAHS student wins science and engineering award

Roseville Area High School junior, Aditi Das, won the International Science and Engineering Award at the 75th Annual Twin Cities Regional Science Fair held Feb. 22-23 at the University of Minnesota.  One of the top award winners, she will be presenting her project, “Building New Agrobacterium Strains for High Efficiency Transformation of Plants,” in May at the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair in Phoenix.

Bridging needs to fill its warehouses

With spring finally here (really, it is!) local nonprofit Bridging is in dire need of the household goods its clients rely on to get back on their feet.
Bridging, formed in 1987, has offices in Roseville and Bloomington and serves, on average, 4,000 households annually, or about 75 per week. Between the two locations, Bridging has about 50,000 square-feet of warehouse space.

Roseville uses new anti-icing equipment built by public works employee

The Roseville Public Works Department had success this winter season using new anti-icing equipment on the city’s streets, thanks to the efforts of an inventive employee, who got the project started.
