Lake Elmo Farmers Market turns 5

“We want cheese,” said Jill Lundgren.

Cheese vendors, that is, noted the founder and chief organizer of the Lake Elmo Farmers Market. She started the market in the summer of 2014. This is its fifth year.

New name, same character: Flat Earth is now Saint Paul Brewing


Saint Paul Brewing, formerly known as Flat Earth Brewing, is looking to make some changes to its brewery and taproom at 688 Minnehaha Ave. E., the location of the old Hamm’s Brewery. When John Warner bought what would become Flat Earth Brewing in 2010, he looked at a few locations to move it before settling on the old Hamm’s Brewing buildings off Minnehaha Avenue on the East Side.

North St. Paul OKs pawn shop, updates massage therapy licensing

Highway 36 closed in Lake Elmo due to semi rollover

The Minnesota State Patrol had to shut down both lanes of traffic on Highway 36 in Lake Elmo to attend to a semi that had crashed and rolled over June 18.

Window World opens off Highway 36

Window World recently opened at 2220 Highway 36 in the former North St. Paul Ace Hardware Store space. “Where’s Ace?” people sometimes come in and ask, said Window World franchise owner Mary Derosier.
