Titans stopped in State Tournament bid for title

The Tartan Titans celebrated departing coach Laura “Jake” Klingsporn’s final season as coach by gaining entry to the State Volleyball Tournament.
Tartan’ hopes of gaining the title were upset when they dropped the first game to Hibbing, 3-1.

Belgium artist’s work featured at Historic Courthouse



Muni Ceulemans, pictured at right in his studio near Amery, Wis., will be at the Victorian Christmas at the Historic Courthouse in Stillwater on Nov. 18, 19 and 20. His work with candles, stained glass and wood will be on display.

Tartan, the number two ranked team in Section 3AAA, went up against perennial nemesis and number three-ranked Eagan in semi-final volleyball action, Nov. 1 at South St. Paul.

Going into the contest, the Titans had limited success against the Wildcats.
