Building for the birds

Just some of the 600 volunteers, James Randle Jr., James Randle Sr. and Tammy Shelman assemble a wood duck house at the Lake Elmo Park Reserve south shelter. Twin Cities Comcast employees/family members joined Great River Greening at the park Oct. 1 to restore the natural areas and prairies.

Change for change

A young Lake Elmo Bank guest puts a handful of change into the “Katrina Red Cross Fund.” The bank raised more than $450 for Katrina relief efforts during its annual Community Day in September. Employees also donated a total of $900 through a “Denim for Dollars Day”.

Chinese acrobats featured in Wildwood Artists Series

The Wildwood Artist Series announce its first two programs of the 2005-2006 season. Shangri-La Chinese Acrobats will appear on Oct. 14, at 7:30 p.m. with dazzling show of acrobatic daring and balance, explosive Kung Fu and brilliant costumes. This is a show for all ages.
