Holiday tree lights up Mendota Heights - photos |

Lights winding around a large conifer and strung on trees throughout Mendota Plaza are now brightening up Mendota Heights for the holiday season. Mendota Heights celebrated the season Dec. 6 near the corner of Highway 110 and Dodd Road with hayrides, reindeer and the lighting of the tree in the central square area. The Convent of the Visitation Choir sang holiday songs during the holiday event. Dickinson-era carolers, above, also joined the fun. Photos by Linda E. Andersen/Review

The 11th annual Holiday Craft Fair took place at Roseville City Hall this past weekend and featured many local artists and crafters. Little Canada Veterans Memorial Park Dedication Ceremony |

Despite the cold weather and fresh snow, the dedication ceremony for the Little Canada Veterans Memorial was held at the site of the memorial on Little Canada Road near Round Lake on Veterans Day, Tuesday, Nov. 11. Veterans Memorial Committee Chair Rocky Waite, who has been responsible for overseeing the project, spoke at the ceremony, as well as a representative of U.S. Rep. Betty McCollum's office. Many other local veterans and officials were in attendance.
The Veterans Memorial in Little Canada features three flag poles, benches along a nearby path and dedicated paver bricks.

Holiday lights and song |
Shoreview's Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony took place on Thursday, Nov. 20, at the Shoreview Community Center. Turtle Lake Elementary students sang Christmas carols and entertained folks as holiday lights glowed brightly all around to start the holiday season with cheer.
