Learn about buying local, sustainably-raised food Dec. 15

The Land Stewardship Project’s White Bear Lake office will hold a holiday social on Dec. 15 from 4 to 6:30 p.m. at 2200 Fourth Street in downtown White Bear Lake, just upstairs from Sherburne Jewelers. Enter from the parking lot behind the jewelry store.

The holiday social will feature showings of “Voices of Minnesota Farm Women” a film that illustrates the importance of supportive relationships between stewardship farmers and the people who buy food. Following the film guests may have a chance to participate in small group discussions about becoming a steward of the land and a steward of the table.

Rounding out the festivities are prize drawings and a silent auction that are designed to make holiday gift-giving easier while supporting local farmers. In addition, LSP memberships, T-shirts, publications and other resources will be available for purchase.
