American Legion baseball rankings

The Tri-City Red American Legion baseball team climbed two more places in this week's state rankings. TCR moved up to sixth place.

Red went 6-3 last week, including 3-1 in Fourth District action. Tri-City began the week in a three-way tie for first place in the district standings.

Burnsville held on to the top spot in the rankings while Bemidji, which was tied for No. 1 with Burnsville last week, dropped to third. Eastview moved from a tie for third to second while Eden Prairie went from being tied with Eastview to sitting in fourth all along. Excelsior remained in fifth to round out the top five. Tri-City Red hosts Hamline Purple in a Fourth District game on Tuesday, July 3 before taking a few days off for the Fourth of July holiday.

TCR resumes action on Sunday when Arcade-Phalen pays a visit to Mounds View High School for a 6 p.m. contest.
