The Simley High School Hall of Fame exists to honor individuals who have distinguished themselves in the areas of academic achievement, athletic achievement and/or humanitarian achievement.

The Parkway Little League 10U All Stars are state champs. The success started earlier this summer, with the team winning the District 2 Championship — while going undefeated in the tournament — on July 17 against Shoreview.

The North Suburban Soccer Association U13 girls’ soccer team etched its name in history at the 2019 Target USA Cup, which took place in Blaine July 12-20. 

On June 15, Midway Speedskating Club members competed in the Apostle Islands Inline Marathon. Midway trains at the Roseville OVAL.

In early April, the St. Anthony Village Huskies softball team played a hastily scheduled game against St. Agnes on a chilly afternoon. 

The Henry Sibley High School boys hockey team was awarded an equipment grant from gear maker CCM Hockey. 

Hayden Dietz, a 10th-grader, said he heard about the grant from a social media post made by the company.

St. Thomas Academy has selected Trent Eigner as the next head coach of its hockey program, effective immediately.

A high school hall of fame not only recognizes the most accomplished student-athletes from a school, but it can also serve as a way to preserve history, build a sense of a community and connect the past with the present. 

Midway Speedskating Club, which trains at the Roseville OVAL, has had a very active season. 

One local football coach has decided to hang up the whistle and put away the playbook after 46 years of coaching and five state championships at the high school level.
