Over $1,000 raised for Oakdale Elementary kids lunch

The community around Oakdale Elementary School, 821 Glenbrook Ave., have started a GoFundMe page to help kids who don’t have enough money in their lunch accounts. The fundraising effort is also for helping students who may need other supplies.

School spirit abounds as cheerleading returns to North


For the first time in 18 years, North High School has a cheerleading team for football season. The cheerleaders first performed at the season’s opening game Aug. 30, and thanks to their early success, they were offered opportunities to perform at the Minnesota State Fair and North St. Paul’s Fall Round-Up Parade. submitted photo

School District 622 Community Education receives grant from USA Swimming Foundation

​School ​District 622 Community Education was chosen as one of 151 Make a Splash Local Partner programs in the U.S. to receive grant funding from the USA Swimming Foundation in 2018.

Former North High School teacher passes away at age 89


Herbert King

Herbert “Herb” E. King, a former teacher and coach at North High School, died July 26. He was 89 years old.
