The Mounds View/Irondale/Roseville PI adapted softball team recently closed out its season with a high honor. The Rams took part in the state tournament on June 3-4 at Coon Rapids High School.
For the third straight year, the Mounds View High School girls golf team is represented at the state tournament. For the second time in three years, the Mustangs made state as a team.
Although only a freshman, Julia Fixsen is already a multi-year state track and field qualifier. By the time she wraps up her senior season, there’s a good shot she’ll have multiple state championships.
The high school track and field season came to a conclusion last weekend as the state meet was held at Hamline University’s Klas Field in St. Paul. Five District 621 students capped off their seasons by capturing state championships.
Mounds View took on Chisago during the Roseville Rumble softball tournament, which featured 25 teams and took place at Central Park June 4 and 5. Below, Mounds View’s Kelly Tekautz takes a swing at the ball.
The move to Section 4AA this season paid off handsomely for the Mounds View High School boys tennis team. The Mustangs swept the section championships and have plenty of representation at this week’s state tournament.
