Candidate filing for city and school district elections -- those that didn't have a primary -- closed Aug. 11 following the two-week filing period, and some of this November's off-year elections are sizing up to be more competitive than others.
Candidates who wish to run in this fall’s city and school board elections — those that did not have primaries and earlier filing dates — should ready themselves for July 28, the day on which they can begin filing for office.
Changes coming to Shoreview and Vadnais Heights city councils
Many Bulletin-area incumbents were re-elected following this year's election Nov. 4.
All incumbent representatives on the federal and state levels will maintain their seats.
Although Mendota is dealing with a small pool of candidates this November, the tiny town at the confluence of the Minnesota and Mississippi rivers has some huge projects to handle.
