Story Artists Donate Day of Storytelling at Open Book

Tellabration!, an annual event promoted by The National Storytelling Network and hosted in over 300 venues around the world, will be celebrated in downtown Minneapolis on Saturday, November 24, 10 a.m. – 9:30 p.m. at Open Book, 1011 Washington Ave S.

Holiday Boutique

This is a very popular boutique. We feature a bake sale, Cafe, with homemade soups, raffle, and Bobs Attic, with gently used item and Christmas decorations. There ia a diverse selection of quality vendors, many have been with us since our first year. Also , Watkins and new this year, a Purse, Wallet and totes sale. Free admission.

Wonderfall Puppet Show

(All Ages) 
Celebrate America Recycles Day with our wild animal puppets. Skunk, eagle and more will teach us about migration, hibernation & recycling! Play the Recycle Fishing game then make a recycle craft and have a snack. Take a self-guided hike afterward.

Drop in to watch and record winter birds on our trails or at our feeders. Enter your sightings into eBird or hand-write a list for the naturalist. Double the fun by renting a pair of snowshoes for $5/pair (if 6” snow on ground)!

Holiday Pollinator Felting Craft

(ADULTS; AGES 10+ WITH AN ADULT) 
Learn about 3 native bees, then use cookie cutters and wool to make a simple a bee or butterfly. Great for homeschoolers!

Nature Hangout

(AGES 7-11) 
Drop-off program for youth only! Parents can get some holiday preparation work done while we go outdoors all together for a treasure hunt with the Naturalist, then back inside to meet live animals, and a craft too! Dress for the weather. Snowshoeing if snow. Pre-registration required by Thursday, December 20th.
