Snowflakes and jingle bells

Engaging the five senses: sight, sound, touch, taste and smell, enjoy a celebration of the winter season through story, song and more. Open to kids ages 2 to 6, this will run from 6 to 7 p.m., Dec. 17 at the South St. Paul Library, 106 Third Ave. N. 


TED TALKS Discussion

The first 20 minutes is spent watching a popular pre-selected TED TALK Video. Next, a facilitator will lead a discussion by posing a few questions to get the conversation started and the group will do the rest. No registration is needed, and the next session will be 1 to 2:30 p.m., Dec. 18 at Thompson Park Activity Center, 1200 Stassen Lane, West St. Paul. The topic will be “The Agony of Opioid Withdrawal - and What Doctors Should Tell Patients About It,” and the speaker is Travis Reider. There is a request for a $1 donation at the door.
