Remembering David Olson

David Olson

Longtime Roseville resident David Olson passed away unexpectedly in the early hours of May 13. He was 55. He is survived by his wife Margaret and daughter Vivian, as well as his twin sister Jenni and many nieces and nephews.

David grew up in Falcon Heights and attended Falcon Heights Elementary School, Fairview Junior High and Alexander Ramsey High School (Class of 1981).

After attending St. Paul Technical College David worked for many years in IT and enjoyed repairing and tinkering with computers of all kinds. His many passions and enthusiasms included: the horse races, politics, fishing, the Minnesota Twins, the University of Minnesota Raptor Center and birds in general. He was also especially proud of his 14-year-old daughter Vivian, who recently published her first book, “Ela’s Diary,” and who was recently profiled in the Roseville Review.

A devoted husband and father, David will be remembered for his generosity, warmth and loving spirit by his family and his many friends.

David was preceded in death by his parents Harry and Erma Olson.

A memorial celebration of David’s life will be held on Saturday, June 2, at 2 p.m. at Central Baptist Church, 420 Roy St., St. Paul. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the family are preferred.
