Dance Together

Use movement to explore imagination, stories and music in this class where caregivers and children dance together. Presented by Young Dance, this will take place from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m., at the West St. Paul Library, 199 Wentworth Ave. E, on Jan. 22. Registration is required. This is open to kids up to age 5. Book Bingo 

Come to this grown-ups only BINGO night to win free books and DVDs on Jan. 22 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Hot Reads participants, with every BINGO you call, you win an extra Hot Reads drawing slip. Snacks will be provided. This will take place at the South St. Paul Library, 106 Third Ave. N.


Book Ends Book Group

Join the monthly book discussion group as it delves into the details of a good book. The group will be discussing “The Women in the Castle” by Jessica Shattuck on Jan. 23 from 10:15 to 11:15 a.m., at the West St. Paul Library, 199 Wentworth Ave. E.


Clear the Clutter

Get tips from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 23 at the Inver Glen Library, 8098 Blaine Ave. E., from recycling professionals, on how to purge hard-to-get-rid-of items regardless of size or emotional attachment. Learn about free or low-cost ways to clean out your closets and restore order to your home. This is presented by the Dakota County Environmental Resources Department. 


Intro to 3D printing

Learn the basics of how 3D printers work and how to get started 3D printing in the iLAB. Registration is required for this event on Jan. 24. Geared for ages 12 and older, it will run from 4:30 to 5 p.m., at the West St. Paul Library, 199 Wentworth Ave. E. Call 651-554-6800 for more information. 


Your identity and genes

Why should you care about genes, genetics and genetically modified organisms (GMO’s)? Because you want to know if you or your descendants are candidates for inherited diseases and, given the continuing population explosion, how there is going to be sufficient food for everyone. Register by Wednesday, Jan. 24 for this event that will run from 10 to 11:30 a.m., on Jan. 31. The cost is $5, and it will take place at Thompson Park Activity Center, 1200 Stassen Lane, West St. Paul. Call 651-403-8300 to register.
