The Minnesota Vikings and Gatorade named South St. Paul football coach Chad Sexauer Coach of the Year. This was the fifth consecutive year the Packers made it to the state tournament. The season also marked Sexauer’s 100th win as the head coach of the program. A donation was made to the football program and free Gatorade products for a year for the team as well.
“It’s great to be recognized by the Vikings, the Minnesota Coaches Association and media. This is a first class event and a tremendous honor. It’s very rewarding for our SSP Football program, assistant coaches, youth program, booster organization and alumni,” Sexauer said.
