TED Talk discussions

There will be a TED Talk discussion group meeting every second Sunday of the month during the summer months at the Roseville Library community room. Everyone is welcome, young, old and in-between. At each session the group views a TED Talk video and then participates in a facilitated discussion. Each session runs from 2 to 3:30 pm. On July 9 the talk is on “The Sibling Bond.” On Aug. 13 the talk is on “The Rise of the Useless Class. The library is located at 2180 Hamline Ave. N. The discussion group is offered through the Roseville Library and the Ramsey Area Senior Program.


 

Naturalization ceremony at Shoreview library

The Ramsey County Library system is hosting its first naturalization ceremony at the new Shoreview Library at 1 p.m. on Thursday, July 6. Thirty people will take the Naturalization Oath, completing the process of becoming United States citizens. The event is open to the public and refreshments will be served following the ceremony. The library is located at 4560 Victoria St. N.


 

RCSO’s Bike Rodeo rescheduled

The Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office has rescheduled its annual Bike Rodeo event. It will now take place Thursday, July 27 from 9 a.m. to noon at Island Lake County Park, 3611 N. Victoria St. in Shoreview. All ages are welcome and will meet in the park at Pavillion 2, with sessions starting at 9, 10 and 11 a.m. To register visit www.surveymonkey.com/r/Bikerodeo2017.
