New Leaf is there for all your yard needs

Scott Nelson and his team at New Leaf Outdoor Services can cover all your yard needs -- whether it’s lawn care, snow removal or parking lot design.

They can do it all and save you the hassle of calling around to different companies and scheduling multiple appointments.

The official start of spring is just around the corner and now is the perfect time to start thinking about beautifying your yard.

Nelson says New Leaf Outdoor Services is homeowners’ one-stop-shop for outdoor spring cleaning, starting with setting the scene for a fabulous lawn.

Let’s face it, achieving and maintaining a top-quality yard can be time consuming. One of the best ways to save time and get the lawn you want is to call the folks at New Leaf. They can dethatch your lawn, remove dead grass, and blow away all the debris left over from fall and winter.

Then through the spring, summer and fall months, New Leaf keeps the surroundings green with weekly lawn care, sidewalk edging, shrub trimming, fertilizing and weed control.

“My program is designed from April to October,” says Nelson, who owns the company.

Thinking of selling your home this spring or summer? Getting New Leaf Outdoor Services out to make sure your property has that all-important curb appeal could make the big difference with buyers.

Hometown appeal

“My goal has been, and will always be, to provide professional, quality and reputable services at affordable prices to local homeowners,” Nelson says.

Nelson’s family-owned business has served the community for more than 20 years.

With the new name and rebranding, Nelson hopes customers will continue to trust New Leaf for all their home care needs.

Nelson explains that he extended his original business -- installing and maintaining asphalt driveways and parking lots -- to include snowplowing and lawn care after receiving many customers’ requests for yard services.

Now every year New Leaf has a strong return of loyal customers, who know that their yard will be maintained just the way they like it. Nelson says much of the credit for that goes to the company’s low employee turnover.

With a dedicated crew, Nelson prides himself on reliability and consistency.

“When we are scheduled to cut your grass,” Nelson says, “whatever day that might be -- we’re there!” Another benefit is customers don’t have to spend time explaining their preferences and needs every visit, because the work crew is already familiar with their property.

Even before his business began, Nelson was honing his craft. In middle school, the West St. Paul native began working for his father’s sealcoating company, and he worked as a parking lot striper in the late 1970s.

“I’m still serving the community that I was born and raised in,” Nelson says. “I feel a great sense of loyalty to this community.”

New Leaf Outdoor Services has extended its clientele area and now offers lawn care, snow removal and driveway maintenance to South St. Paul, West St. Paul, Mendota Heights, Inver Grove Heights, Woodbury, Newport, Cottage Grove and the West Side of St. Paul.

For all your outdoor homecare needs, trust New Leaf Outdoor Services. With their reliable service and top-notch expertise, all you need to do is enjoy the time they save you.
