Falcon Heights

 

Arrests

A 19-year-old man was arrested, cited and released Oct. 20 for underage drinking and driving — the man blew a .066 alcohol concentration, a violation of zero tolerance laws. He was also cited for expired registration during the stop at Larpenteur and Hamline avenues.

 

Police picked up a 29-year-old man who was wanted on a Ramsey County warrant for possession/carrying a pistol without a permit Oct. 22 from the 1400 block of Larpenteur Avenue. He was booked at the Ramsey County Jail.

 

Multiple warrants

During a stop Oct. 23 at Larpenteur and Prior avenues, police arrested a 28-year-old man for driving with a cancelled license, no proof of insurance and a registration violation. He was hauled into the Ramsey County Jail on several warrants: One was a Ramsey County warrant for violating an order for protection related to a domestic abuse case; another was a Hennepin County warrant for third-degree DWI; another was for an Anoka County warrant for felony domestic assault/strangulation; the last was a Dakota County warrant for felony DWI.  

 

Burglary

A 43-year old woman told police Oct. 17 someone had broken into her house in the 1400 block of Larpenteur Avenue. The burglar stole cash, jewelry, a camera, clothing, gift cards, gaming consoles and games, for a total loss of $1,960. No estimate on the damage done to the house.

 

The kid is all right

Police received a tip about a possible burglary in progress in the 1800 block of Simpson Street on Oct. 21. They responded and all they found was a 17-year-old boy, in his bedroom, at the house.

 

Phone down, fool

A driver was given a verbal warning about texting while driving Oct. 17 at Hamline and Larpenteur Avenues.

 

Theft at gas station

Someone nabbed $15.68 worth of stuff from the SuperAmerica in the 1300 block of Larpenteur Avenue. Police were given the suspect’s license plate info — a check of the area didn’t turn anything up.

 

Lauderdale

 

Arrests

Police arrested and cited four people ages 20-41 for various license and insurance violations Oct. 19-20 through the Larpenteur Avenue corridor.

 

Little Canada

 

Fraud

A woman told police Oct. 28 that someone used her bank card for a fraudulent charge in the amount of $94.

 

Jacking generators

A prowler lifted a $1,080 generator overnight into Oct. 28 from a construction zone outside Capitol View Center in the first block of County Road B2 W. Just less than three miles away, a $3,000 generator was stolen from the back of a truck overnight into Oct. 29. It had been bolted and padlocked to the truck, which was parked in the 400 block of Labore Road.

 

McNap three-pack

 

The manager of the McDonald’s in the 2200 block of Rice Street called the police just after 10 p.m. Oct. 30 because three men, two aged 23 and a 28-year-old, were sleeping in the restaurant and refused to leave when asked. Officers finally roused them, and served them with trespassing notices, and ordered them out of the building.

 

Run run

 

A 54-year-old woman was cited for shoplifting Nov. 1 when she was caught attempting to steal a $20 bottle of rum she’d stuck in her purse at a liquor store in the 2700 block of Rice Street.

 

Shots fired

A resident reported the sound of gunshots Oct. 26 in the 100 block of Demont Avenue. Police investigated but found nothing.

 

Stranger things

A 26-year-old Minneapolis man crashed his car into another on Interstate 694 near the Interstate 35E interchange the evening of Oct. 30. Before police could make it to the scene, the 26-year-old ran off. The state patrol called the Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office and told them to be on the look out for the man. Shortly thereafter, a deputy found the man lying in a puddle near the Gabberts in the 3200 block of Country Drive with his pants and underwear down around his knees. Police suspected he was suffering from hypothermia; he was charged with disorderly conduct and taken to the hospital.
