Voting by mail and in person by absentee ballot began Sept. 23

Ramsey County voters have several options for voting in the presidential election prior to Election Day on Nov. 8, either by mail or in person, which began Sept. 23.

Voters who prefer to vote by mail can apply for a mail ballot at mnvotes.org, or can contact Ramsey County Elections to request an application. Mail voters should allow at least four days to receive and return their mail ballots. The voted ballots must be received by Ramsey County Elections no later than Nov. 8.

Voters who prefer to vote in person can cast an absentee ballot during normal business hours at Ramsey County Elections (90 Plato Blvd. W., Saint Paul 55107) through Oct. 31. Residents of Maplewood, Shoreview, Little Canada, New Brighton, and Lauderdale may cast absentee ballots in person at their city hall during the same time period.

Voters who prefer to place their ballot directly into the ballot box may vote early from Nov. 1 through Nov. 7 at Ramsey County Elections. Most suburban Ramsey County city halls also offer this. Voters should check rcelections.org for details.
