MVHS wrestlers third in holiday event

Basketball and hockey usually dominate the holiday tournament headlines in Minnesota but there were a few wrestling tournaments happening also. Mounds View took part in one at Foley High School on Dec. 30 and finished third.

The host squad won the team title with 260 points, St. Cloud Tech took second with 169.5 points and Mounds View was next with 161.5 points.

Individually, Tanner Day was Mounds View's lone championship. He went 3-0 with three decisions to take first place at 138 pounds.

Mounds View added three second-place performances by Nick Dunagan (106 pounds), Benji Keillor (160) and Rowan Morgan (170).
