Incumbent, two new members, elected to ISD 623 board

The four-way race for three seats on the Roseville Area Schools ISD 623 Board was settled Nov. 3 with incumbent board member Erin Azer comfortably winning 30 percent of the vote.

Azer, an eighth grade language arts teacher who works at an Oakdale middle school in Independent School District 622, is heading into her second term on the board.

Newcomer candidates Todd Anderson and Mike Boguszewski each won their first terms on the board, beating out candidate Bob Murray for the remaining seats.

Anderson nipped at Azer's heels earning 1797 votes, just 49 votes fewer than the incumbent's total. Boguszewski garnered just more than 24 percent of the vote while Murray won just more than 14 percent.

Departing board members Lisa Edstrom and Kaying Thao did not run.
