Free summer outdoor movie series

Grab a blanket and bring out the whole family for a free movie in the park this summer through Ramsey County Parks and Recreation. The county will host a free outdoor movie series through October at five Ramsey County park locations. Show times will be at dusk on the third Thursdays of the month.

Movies will be shown on a 20-foot screen. No tickets or registration are required. Come early and bring a blanket and a lawn chair.

• July 16: “Elf,” Lake McCarrons, 1795 North Rice St. in Roseville

• Aug. 20: Viewers’ choice, Long Lake, 1500 Old Hwy. 8 in New Brighton
Choose between “Big Hero 6,” “Despicable Me 2,” “Honey I Shrunk the Kids” and “The Goonies.” Voting is open through July 24 at www.surveymonkey.com/s/2015ViewersChoice

• Sept. 18 (Friday): “Grease,” Keller Golf Course, 2166 Maplewood Drive in Maplewood

• Oct.15: “Miracle,” Vadnais Sports Center, 1490 County Road E East in Vadnais Heights
