The car came back like a boomerang

Arrests, Thefts and more around Falcon Heights, Lauderdale, Little Canada, and Roseville - Roseville Review police reports Jan. 20, 2015.

Falcon Heights

Arrests

The 30-year-old man was cited for driving with a revoked license and no proof of insurance, both misdemeanors, on New Year’s Eve at Snelling and Hoyt avenues. But the big one, which earned him a trip to the Hennepin County Jail, was the felony warrant issued earlier for his arrest for a controlled substance violation.
Speeding was only the beginning. After the 58-year-old was stopped Jan. 2 at Larpenteur Avenue and Albert Street, he was found to be driving with a suspended license, operating an uninsured vehicle, expired registration, and, don’t forget the speed violation.

Lauderdale

Arrests

You’d think he would be laying low with that revoked license and all, but no, the 50-year-old was pulled over and arrested Dec. 30 for failing to move over for an emergency vehicle on Hwy. 280 as well as driving with a revoked license.
She had the pipe and he had the amphetamine. She’s going to court and he went to jail. It all began New Year’s Eve at Como Avenue and Hunting Valley Road.

Little Canada

Arrest
A 1992 Cadillac with no plates was pulled over Dec. 20 and the two men inside had difficulty explaining why they had no receipts for the new property in the car, including a Vexilor Propak fish locator and several jackets, total value estimated at $1,260. The goods had just been shoplifted from a sporting goods store in the first block of County Road B. A 35-year-old from St. Paul and a 42-year-old from Lindstrom were booked at the jail on felony theft charges.

Don’t do that
A Lakeside Court resident placed a $160 check to an insurance company in her curbside box for pickup Dec. 28. A thief got their first, later “washing” the check, filling in his information and cashing it at a discount store. An investigation continues.

Strange but true
Ramsey County Water Patrol answered a call Nov. 27 from a nearby apartment complex resident who requested the removal of a vacuum cleaner left on a frozen mosquito pond in the 200 block of County Road B2. The vacuum cleaner was “wearing” a jacket.

The car came back like a boomerang
The name of the bar should have alerted them. When two very underage males walked into Boomerangs, a Morrison County bar on Dec. 28, law enforcement was quickly notified. The Twin Cities pair, ages 17 and 18, had the keys to a 2012 Lincoln Continental which was soon found out of gas in the middle of a country road near Little Falls. The Lincoln, a dealership “loaner” vehicle, but not loaned to those two, had been stolen a day earlier at a Rice Street trailer park in Little Canada. The suspects were booked at the Morrison County Jail on felony robbery charges.

“Currently in hiding”
A Gulfstream 2001 camper was reported stolen between Jan. 3 and 5 from a secure storage lot in the 600 block of County Road D. The 43-year-old owner of the unit, currently in hiding, told deputies she suspects her 47-year-old ex-boyfriend may “be trying to draw her out.” It’s unknown how the thief, whoever it was, accessed the fenced lot.
