Arrest
Police pulled over a woman Feb. 20 for driving after license revocation at Snelling and Larpenteur avenues and also charged her with felony possession of meth - a fifth-degree controlled substance, gross-misdemeanor false information to police, possession of drug paraphernalia and operating an uninsured vehicle. The 33-year-old was booked at the Ramsey County Jail.

Criminal sexual conduct
A 25-year-old woman reported Feb. 18 that she had been sexually assaulted by a 48-year-old male acquaintance. An investigation continues.

Hand tossed
An unruly customer, loud, using profanity, smelling of alcohol and appearing intoxicated was given the boot at a pizza restaurant in the 1500 block of Larpenteur Avenue Feb. 22. The 27-year-old was told he was trespassed from the business and would be arrested if he returned.

Phone fetish
A pizza restaurant employee saw a man in the break room digging in her purse, then fleeing with her $400 cell phone. The suspect was confronted by another employee outside the restaurant in the 1500 block of Larpenteur Avenue and the phone was returned. The victim wanted the man prosecuted and he was arrested. Two other phones were found in the suspect’s possession and one, also valued at $400, was soon reported stolen as well. Aggregating the two incidents earned the 19-year-old a trip to the Ramsey County Jail on a felony theft charge.

Lucky she called
A woman on Valento Lane saw a shadowy figure in her backyard late the night of March 4 and made sure her doors were locked. When someone attempted to open the backdoor to her home, she called 911. Arriving deputies tracked the man’s snowy footprints to another home on the block. The “suspect” turned out to be the elderly father of a neighbor who had gone outside and was confused about which house he came out of. The 81-year-old, who was not dressed for the weather, was hospitalized for possible frostbite. The temperature at the time of the incident was six degrees above zero.
