Two Central Park Elementary students were selected to join the MN State 4-5-6 Children’s Honor Choir.
Sixth grader Kaia Fitzgerald and fifth grader Chet Carlson both auditioned for the choir through a “blind audition” process. “We are so proud of Kaia and Chet on this outstanding achievement!” said Erik Ekstrom, the vocal music teacher at Central Park Elementary in Roseville Area Schools.
The Children’s Honor Choir will rehearse on Friday, Nov. 22 at St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church in Mahtomedi. The group will have a public performance that night at 5:30 p.m.
“It is really a big honor for them,” said Ekstrom. “Not only are they representing Central Park, but all of Roseville Area Schools.”
