Arrests
- If you’re wanted on a felony warrant for your arrest for violation of a court order in Wisconsin, you’re taking a chance riding with someone who has a broken taillight, a suspended DL, and expired vehicle registration. The 18-year-old female driver was pulled over Sept. 1 at Snelling and Larpenteur avenues and cited for the three offenses. The 27-year-old male went to jail on the warrant.
- The driver was arrested Sept. 2 at Snelling and Garden avenues for the bad combination of gross misdemeanor operating an uninsured vehicle, driving after license suspension and possession of an open bottle. The 59-year-old man was relieved of his vehicle before bad things could happen.

Bus stop robberies
Two people were robbed Sept. 5 while waiting for a bus. A suspect, about 20, asked a 22-year-old woman in the 1600 block of Snelling Avenue if he could use her iPhone4, and then fled the scene with the $500 device. A suspect, possibly the same man, asked a 13-year-old boy at the Arona Street and Idaho Avenue school bus stop to use his $500 phone then fled the scene without giving it back. An investigation continues.
