Burglary on Big Circle

A trailer on Big Circle Drive was broken into the night of Aug. 16. The only items missing were the title to the trailer and a pedestal-mounted karaoke machine valued at $450. The trailer owner is pointing the finger at her ex-husband. An investigation continues.

Arrests
• Ten drivers — eight men and two women — were arrested in the city during the week of Aug. 5 for driving with licenses that were either suspended, revoked, canceled or never issued in the first place.
• A 48-year-old man driving with an obstructed windshield at Larpenteur and Hamline avenues was pulled over Aug. 9 before he could hurt someone. He was also arrested for open bottle, no proof of insurance and driving after license revocation.

Bike downgrade
• A garage door inadvertently left open in the 1700 block of Lindig Street resulted in a $400 bike that went missing and a crappy bike left in its place. The unfair exchange occurred Aug. 8.

Drunk in hallway
• An intoxicated man was removed from the hallway of an apartment building Aug. 11 in the 1500 block of Larpenteur Avenue. The 45-year-old man was hospitalized for evaluation.

Brotherly love
• Deputies responded to a report of a domestic assault at Rustic Place Aug. 11 and found brothers, ages 31 and 35, trading knuckle sandwiches. The battling brothers were advised to disperse in opposite directions if they wanted to avoid charges. They did.

Dog assault
• A leashed, eight-year-old mini-schnauzer, described by his owner as topping out at “10.2 kilograms,” or a little more than 22 pounds, was attacked the night of Aug. 17 by a larger, “boxer-type” dog in the 600 block of Country Road B2. A vet bill regarding the 10-kilogram mini–schnauzer totaled $219. The case was turned over to Animal Control.

Motorcycle theft
• A 1982 Harley-Davidson motorcycle with a skull rendition on the gas tank went missing the evening of Aug. 15 from a bowling alley parking lot in the first block of Little Canada Road. The bike was valued at $4-5,000.
