St. Paul police request warrant for Facebook records in Trevino case

As the investigation into the disappearance of Kira Trevino continues, police investigators are seeking a search warrant to obtain Facebook account records for Jeffery Trevino, Kira Steger Trevino and Matthew Roff, the man who lived with the couple in their house on the East Side of St. Paul.

The search warrant affidavit stated one of Jeffery Trevino’s friends told police that several of Trevino’s posts before his arrest on Feb. 26 included the acronym “NWNP,” which the friend thought stood for “No Witnesses, No Proof.”

“As we have done all along, we are following any leads, wherever the (murder) investigation goes,” St. Paul police spokesman Howie Padilla said. “We are looking for a conclusion, but we haven’t found it yet because we haven’t found Kira.”
