Roseville tennis coach Dan Morton dies at 75

Long-time Roseville area coach and teacher Dan Morton died May 17. He was 75. 

According to a press release about Morton’s death from Bethel University, where he last coached, he died after suffering a stroke, and a brain aneurism.

Beacons fastpitch one win from state


Concordia pitcher Taylor Brunn slides into third base during a game earlier this season. Brunn’s pitching and hitting helped the Beacons draw the No. 2 seed in the Section 4AA playoffs.

It has been 12 years since Concordia Academy saw its fastpitch softball team play in the state tournament. The Beacons enter this week with a great chance to end that drought.
