Letter: Yikes, more MNsure hikes?

To the Editor:
The bad news keeps coming for Minnesotans who purchase health insurance through Minnesota’s Obamacare exchange, MNsure. Earlier this month we learned that, for a second straight year, premiums are set to skyrocket. Last week, we found out that Congress will investigate MNsure for possible mismanagement of funds. When will Rep. Barb Yarusso admit that enough is enough?

Letter: Lamenting the new library in Shoreview

To the Editor:
Through the process, I tried to prepare for the destruction that might occur at 96 and Victoria. When it finally happened, it was still shocking. The property completely stripped of trees. Many old oaks unceremoniously cut down. They even took out Shoreview's symbols...the spruce trees surrounding our sign... like a "finger wave" to residents...this is our corner now!

Letter: Revisit later school start times

To the Editor:

Mounds View district high schools have among the earliest start times in the metro area at 7:25 a.m. This requires many local teens to awake before 5:30 every weekday to catch their bus. Rigorous research at the University of Minnesota, the National Academy of Sciences, the CDC and the American Academy of Pediatrics clearly confirm three conclusions: Adolescent's natural body rhythms drive them to fall asleep later in the evening.
